Bryan’s English School uses the Boo-riculum and Booha Adventure in a flipped, output-focused system. This page gives you a clear view of lesson prices, how the system works, and whether there are any extra fees.

01 Group Lesson Prices

Group lessons use the weekly Boo-riculum so students are not just listening — they are speaking, asking questions, and reacting. Classes are separated by age and kept small.

  • Kindergarten (age 5–6) / 25 min, max 2 students — ¥4,000 / month
  • Elementary – Junior High / 50 min, max 4 students — ¥7,500 / month
  • High School – Adults / 50 min, max 3 students — ¥7,500 / month
  • Extra Plan: Group twice per week (8 lessons) — ¥15,000 / month

The aim is simple: a small, safe group where everyone actually uses English each week.

02 Private Lesson Prices

Private lessons are for students who need personalized English coaching. Using the Boo-riculum as a base, we can:

  • create a tailored study outline
  • send you personalized lesson notes after each session (English + Japanese)
  • practice interviews or specific speaking tasks
  • plan long-term goals and keep you accountable

In group lessons, students are responsible for keeping their own notes and diary in their notebook. The written follow-up email is a special feature of private lessons, so you always know what to review and what to try next.

  • Once per week (4 × 50-minute lessons) — ¥15,000 / month
  • Twice per week (8 × 50-minute lessons) — ¥30,000 / month
03 How Lessons Work (Boo-riculum & Booha Adventure)

Bryan’s English School is run as a flipped system. Students first open the Boo-riculum at home and quickly review that week’s vocabulary, phrases, and questions. They don’t need to memorize everything, but it should feel familiar before class.

In lessons, we use Booha Adventure and the weekly content to focus on output: talking about themselves, asking and answering questions, reacting, and building sentences with patterns.

Because of this, a device (phone or tablet) is required every lesson. Without a device, students cannot access the Boo-riculum for that week and will struggle to join the activities.

All students also keep a personal English notebook. They collect weekly vocabulary, example sentences, their own ideas and diary lines, plus corrections and advice. The notebook is not for “checking homework”; it is a record of their growth.

04 What’s Included & Extra Fees

At Bryan’s English School, the following fees are not charged:

  • Enrollment fee — ¥0
  • Textbook / Boo-riculum usage fee — ¥0
  • Administrative or “system” fees — ¥0

The only regular extra cost you might see is a notebook (around ¥100–¥200). Families may prepare their own or purchase one at school.

There are no hidden monthly charges beyond tuition. If a seasonal event or special project has a participation fee, I always explain the details and price in advance, and it is completely optional.

The goal is a simple, transparent price structure so you can focus on your child’s progress, not on surprise bills.

05 First 8 Lessons (Half-Price) & Refunds

One free lesson is not enough to see if a school really fits. It takes time to feel the teacher’s style, the atmosphere, and whether the Boo-riculum and Booha Adventure work for your family.

For this reason, the first 8 lessons (about two months) are half price. This is a realistic trial period for everyone to decide honestly if it is a good match.

If, during this period, you feel it is not the right fit, I refund the remaining unused lessons, even in the middle of a month. I do not want anyone to feel stuck or pressured to continue.
